Dear Parent/ Carer
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to “ASPIRE- the All Saints’ Post-16 Information and Resource Event” the school will be hosting on Wednesday 17th October, starting at 6pm and finishing at 7:30 pm. As you are aware, All Saints’ students achieve excellent results and this is due to the support they receive and many of our students wish to continue their Post-16 studies at All Saints’. This event is designed to inform parents/carers about how they can support their child in the lead up to the GCSE examinations and to inform both students and parents about the Post-16 Education options available at All Saints’.
During the evening, different curriculum areas will be providing information, practical tips and copies of resources that will help your child prepare fully for their GCSEs. In addition, all curriculum areas, who offer Post-16 courses, will be available to explain the different specifications, entry requirements and expectations regarding sixth form study at All Saints’. Students will have the opportunity to ask any questions they may have about studying within the sixth form at this event directly to the relevant curriculum area.
Both Miss Flint (Assistant Head teacher) and Mrs Davie (Assistant Head teacher for Sixth Form) will be speaking about the important decisions our students have in front of them during their GCSE year to ensure they can access their preferred Post-16 option choice.
Parents/Carers who have attended these evenings before have found them very helpful in terms of providing clarity about what their child will be going through during this academic year and how to support their child in terms of securing the next stage of their academic journey.
Mrs L Johnson
Deputy Head Teacher
