Welcome

Welcome to All Saints' Catholic Academy and thank you for taking the time to find out about us. Whether you are a prospective parent, a new student or considering working at All Saints' then you will find lots of information on our website to help you. I would also recommend that you come in to visit our academy so you can meet our dedicated and talented staff and our wonderful students. Our Academy's ethos reflects firm gospel values; we should use our God given talents to ensure we do the best we possibly can and the drive to be the best possible individual is key to our success.

All Saints’ is an 11-18 Catholic Academy in Mansfield but serves a very wide area from Worksop in the north of the county to Newark in the south.  Students come primarily from 6 Catholic primary schools and are generally average on intake. However, as a result of the school's success we do take in students from other non-Catholic primary schools and a large number of Eastern European students.  This has obviously changed the entry profile and makes All Saints’ a very diverse school.  There are lower than national average numbers on the SEN register and in the Free School Meals category.  In 2015 the school was inspected by the Diocese Inspection Team and was graded as outstanding.  The school achieved a very successful Ofsted report in 2017 – we were graded good with some areas of the school seen as outstanding.  Behaviour and standards were commended by Ofsted.

The Academy's ethos reflects firm gospel values; we should use our God given talents to ensure we do the best we possibly can and the drive to be the best possible individual is key to our success. The Academy motto is “We Shall Serve” and as such the school fosters a view that students are here in school to serve themselves by doing the best they possibly can and to serve others by supporting within the school community and outside through their daily work.

All Saints’ is part of the Aquinas Multi Academy Trust and there are strong links with all our feeder primaries. Some of our staff teach groups in our primaries and we have a very successful and popular transition programme. Many of our students participate in our leadership programme – this involves Key Stage 3 and 4 students leading sports and performing arts workshops with our younger students. We have a very strong involvement in local sports and have football, rugby, netball and basketball teams across all year groups. These teams are consistently successful in local and regional tournaments. Some of our current students represent their regional and national teams in football, rugby, swimming and cricket for boys and girls.

Performing Arts is a vibrant area in our school. All students study drama and music at Key Stage 3 and these subjects are also offered at Key Stage 4 and A level.  We have two major productions every year with some fantastic reviews and our drama students run workshops with all our feeder primaries. We have our own 4th Wall theatre company which leads the productions with a growing reputation in the local and regional area. All Saints’ has just recently set up its own 6th form theatre company and this group will be running additional productions this year.

School results at both Key Stage 4 and 5 place the school as the best in Mansfield. A recent best schools guide survey put All Saints’ as the 4th best in the whole of Nottinghamshire. Our sixth form has an excellent reputation and offers mainly A levels across a wide range of subjects. Students from All Saints’ and a range of other schools choose to complete their A level studies at our school – over 90% of our A level students achieve their first choice University.
